where do you start?

There's so much that goes into gear. I find it quite stressful in choosing the "perfect-ness" of what I bring on an adventure. It's even harder when you are going to be exposed to different weather or activities and needing all this stuff to carry, add the whole minimalist packing - it's complex stuff to figure out.

here's some gear I'll be bringing on my trip.

(I will be posting reviews after the ride)

Bike

Its name is Caribou. What more is there to say?

One of the reasons I choose this bike is that it's Canadian made. Devinci is based in Chicoutimi, Quebec. It is a touring bike, meaning its built for the grand amount of kilometres I will be doing. Also, it's able to hold the amount weight of having saddle bags on it.

MSR - Hubba Hubba NX 2 person

Tent

This is the Hubba Hubba NX 2 person backpacking tent. I choose this tent since it's extremely light, very small and has won multiple awards over the years. Even if I'll be travelling alone, I got a 2 person tent just for that extra room to sit up and hangout. Clearly I am sacrificing a lot when the tent weighs under 3 pounds!

Ground Mat

Meet my little Neo. Yes, I do mean little! I love how small and light it is. I've only used it a couple nights camping so far but I find it very comfortable.

Weight : 340 grams

                      Icebreaker - Merino Wool

Clothes

Merino wool is life.

Doesn't smell like cotton.

Doesn't itch like normal wool.

I have the base layers, socks, underwear and some athletic shirts.

                                             MSR- Pocket Rocket Stove

                                             MSR- Pocket Rocket Stove

Stove

The pocket rocket stove, a.k.a the backcountry bacon machine.

Rice & Oatmeal = life on the road

Pot & Cup

Until now pots and cups took an enormous amount of room. This pot is life changing, it collapses.
